Permanent make up

Another week without Badtaste, I'm really having withdrawal symptoms.

Anyway, on friday I eventually had that session of permanent make up on my lips, it turned out pretty well, I'm really satisfied about it. The pain was atrocious at times, but I'd do it again. Actually, I will have to do it again in a month, for the usual "pick up": the ink isn't going to be perfect, they always give the last touch in about a month.

My lips aren't swollen anymore, and the pain has almost gone away. I have to apply my precious lip cream a zillion times a day, but in a few days I will be able to use lipstick & gloss.

As for my page, it's going on very well, it will be 1 year old on November 20th, and I'm already thinking about a surprise....don't know what yet.....shhhht, it's a surprise! Derailed is getting quite a lot of media attention and I truly hope it's going to gross big bucks.

Drats

Badtaste.it is down again.

Yesterday I woke up early to write an article and it was useless. Oh, well, I'll publish it when it's online again.

Today is Sunday and the weather is warm, despite the advancing season. Everything is closed down and it's the same usual Sunday at home. Not much to say.

I have to find a nice cosy little bed & breakfast in Madrid because I booked a flight to Madrid (May 6th - 9th, 2006!). Guess I'll attack Google right now!

Rainy day

Sunday and it's raining. I have plenty to do:

* update my site
* clean my room
* sort my Autumn clothes
out
* watch a few DVDs
* pay a visit to my granny

At the moment, I'm downloading a few Post Production diaries on KongisKing.net, the ultimate King Kong fansite.

Kong is going to arrive on every screen in the world in mid December and sure I've been waiting for it. It's Peter Jackson's last work...PJ is the person in showbusiness I admire the most, he's my hero, I've been a fan since the old days when no one paid much attention to that crazed NZ director. I'm immensely proud of him and I know Kong will be a success. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

It's getting cold

  • Mood: tired
  • Music: news on TV
First Autumn day and it's getting really cold, brrrrrr

Today I'm pretty pleased with myself because, in spite of the very little free time, I managed to update my page again. Go me!!!!

Yesterday I went to the Spongebob the Movie special preview. The people who organised it never showed up....the cinema was for me, my friends and a journalist. A kind of private showing

The movie was fun, but it sounded like a LSD version of a kiddies movie, some parts were hysterical.
Now I'm planning to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Friday AND Good Night and Good Luck on Saturday. Busy girl

Not much in these days....work is hectic, but I will survive!

Quite busy these days

  • Mood: Happy, happy, haaaaapppyyyy
  • Music: Zoolander soundtrack :)
First post in a long time....I've been quite busy.
Today it's Sunday and it's a very satisfactory day:

1) I managed to update my page, the Clive Owen Scrapbook, with the official Derailed poster. It's Clive's new film, it comes out in the US on November 11th and I'm thrilled about it. There was a major problem with the poster (the file didn't open), but now I've fixed and it's all right. By the way, this is the poster:

Not bad
Then, I even got a link to the trailer....officially it isn't out yet, but - don't know how - MovieBox has got it already!

2) I finished Medievil. My first PSP game. I eventually kicked Zarok's bony "derrière" and I won. Good, very good. Wait, what am I going to play with?!? I must immediately trade it for another game.

Saturday...

  • Mood:
  • Music: yaaaawn
I took a couple days off work and I'm enjoying it very much

Yesterday I met an American friend in Milan: she's in Italy on vacation and we spent the afternoon walking through the town.
If you're reading this....hello Gayla, hope you had fun...sorry if I had you walk miles and miles under the sun!!!

Anyway, now it's Saturday and it's a pretty ordinary day: cinema in the evening and relaxing all the way

In this very moment, I should be cleaning my room....unfortunately, I got my PSP and it's way too fun. OK, now I should really do that cleaning and stop playing with that devilish thing

This is the first game I bought:

Medievil Resurrection is the same as Medievil for PSX. Only, it's for PSP and it's pretty awesome. Black humour, mad characters and funny gameplay. What else could my heart desire?

Photos from Lipari

  • Mood: relaxed
  • Music: just the sound of cars
Today I'm home from work. Kinda of.....
It's September 1st, the day PSP comes out in Europe. Guys, it's going to be a tough day

This morning I'm going from store to store to transport PSPs. It's like being Santa Clause

In the meanwhile, I'm posting some of the zillion pictures I took while I was on holiday in Lipari. I took them with my mobile phone, so the quality isn't excellent, but they are immediate.

This is Lipari, the biggest Eolian island. We rented a house up the hills. This is not the view from there, but it's quite similar.

Another view from the hills. The sea is crystal blue and very clean.

It's the ideal location to sail. Eolo was the ancient god of the winds, hence "Isole Eolie" means something like "islands of the wind".

Home at last!

  • Mood:
  • Music: the TV is on
I'm home at last!
I arrived on Saturday night...and it was a nightmare: there was a huge storm on Milan and they had to shut the airport down for 2 hrs.
I woke up at 5 am and I arrived home at 11:30 pm....gee.

Today I went back to work. It was quite stressful
To add some spark to my day, one of my bosses resigned

I have quite a lot of photos, but I'll add them tomorrow because I have to sort them out.

Going to bed now....I know it's 9:30 pm, but I'm exhausted.

His Dark Materials!

Very important news: it seems production is going ahead for "His Dark Materials": the movies based on Philip Pullman's novels.

The titles are:

The Golden Compass

The Subtle Knife

The Amber Spyglass

These novels are the best fantasy books I've ever read, it's brilliant stuff, not to be missed.

The director seems to be Anand Tucker (Hilary & Jackie), who's a big fan of the novels. Pullman seems delighted by this choice. Hope they start production soon!!!!

Almost there

  • Mood: sleepy
  • Music: sweet silence...
Just 2 days and I'll be home, just 3 days and I'll be on holiday.
I got to hold on and be strong

Hey, I've just noticed they have an Alan Rickman emoticon!!!!
Here it is:
The resemblance is pretty good. I would never have guessed my favorite actor could end up on an emoticon.
you rock, Alan, and you'll always have a special place in my heart.

Nothing new really, just the same old routine. The only difference is, I'm all alone in the office. It's boring, but at least I get more work done.

On a bright note, my skin is finalloy getting better. Hope it lasts...I still don't know what I'm going to do with the hairdresser, since my usual one has closed down for the holidays. Oh, I guess I'll try another one...2 weeks of sea won't be good for my hair, better to pamper it until the end.

Good thought of the day: the sea....

...This is Sardinia, in May, I was there for a convention of the firm I work for. Charming, isn't it? The weather wasn't very good, but the place was lovely.
